of Bizen is the mecca of sword-crafting. Bizen had rich local materials, sand-iron an

pine trees for charcoal. Osafune village is the most famous region of crafting Katana

in the Koto-period.

Characteristics: Bizen workmanship is flamboyant,Nioideki,overlapping Choji(clove

blossoms) hamon, and a prominent misty Utsuri in the blade.
